Updating my PHEV software

Hi Everyone,

There are three types of software I am interested in updating in my 2014 PHEV.

1. PHEV firmware - anything related to making the car work better since leaving the factory
2. MMCS - I noticed on one website that the software in this unit has been updated to deal with phone connectivity issues and I would like to benefit from that
3. WiFi Security - back in 2014(?) a company showed how the car can be hacked and Mitsubishi put a cryptic message on their website in November 2017 saying there is a fix and contact your dealer. The dealer closest to me claimed they didn’t know anything about it and I could bring the car in for a check (to be paid for) and they would see what they could do.

Has anyone successfully done any of the above?

See the following:

The update was a no charge fix.

I had to delete the app for my iPhone and update "Outlander PHEV I" to be able to control the car remotely.

Could I suggest you contact Mitsubishi ( via email so they can address these issues. I think all three would be done by your local dealer as a free software fix. Customer services should be able to confirm this and also tell your dealership!

Still waiting for a reply to my email but I spoke to a Mitsubishi Master Tech and all updates to make age of vehicle have been withdrawn as the last update was giving cars problems with phone compatibility etc so Mitsubishi are waiting for a new update from the supplier before they issue it again.
